In class we have learnt about the development of the Waihi Beach Coastal Environment in general and covered the formation of the Bowentown tombolo spit. Your job now is to find out about the formation of some other coastal landforms present at Waihi Beach. Look for information on the following:

• Sand dunes
• Caves, Arches, Stacks and Stumps
• Wave-cut platforms.

You will need to be able to describe these features and explain how processes have interacted to form them. You should summarise what you have found out, by creating THREE-STAGE diagrams in your notes showing the formation of each coastal landform.
