Howdy Team, This morning we will start looking at some international travel destinations. Follow this link to see if you can identify the 10 places British tourists would most like to visit. Once you have completed this game, you need to select a world destination from page 35 of your workbook. You will find out what makes this place attractive fro tourists and create a promotional poster for this site. Your poster must be in the shape of your selected site

Your work should cover the following:

• History
• Purpose
• The most exciting features of it
• Location
• Cost for travellers
• Nearby Attractions

Today we are going to use a Web 2.0 tool to make a timeline about when slavery ended.You will need to:

1. Go to www.dipity.com and sign up with your school username, password and email
2. Create a new timeline called ‘The Abolition of Slavery’
3. In another internet window, find out the year that 10 major countries banned slavery.
4. Add this information to your timeline.
5. When your timeline is complete, add a comment to this post that includes a link to your new timeline

Bonus:
See if you can make your timeline more interesting by:

• including each country’s flag
• adding as many countries as you can
• adding an appropriate multimedia to it
• adding appropriate links to further information

Now that you have completed a short answer quiz about the natural processes in the South Island High Country, it is time to have a go at a long answer that requires qualitative information.

Go to the following NZQA page with past Level 2 exam questions: Choose your own Natural Landscape question and develop an answer over the next two lessons.

Your answer needs to be about the SIHC, but you can use questions from the New Zealand Setting or the Continental Setting.
