Howdy Team, Today we will focus on the different methods of comparing development. Your job is develop some paragraphs to address the following questions:
Name TWO different indicators that can be used to measure development. Explain the benefits and problems of each.
Name THREE methods of evaluating the relationship between two sets of development data. Explain the benefits and problems of each method.
You might find it helpful to check out some of the past posts about disparities in development.
Here are some interactive quizzes to help you revise our Population topic. There are puzzles here about population patterns and processes in New Zealand and in Monsoon Asia. They will be of great help when studying for the Year 11 NCEA Geography Exam. Enjoy!

Now that we have spent a little time working out how to use Sketchup, I would like to give you a specific task”
You can choose to either replicate a famous building from around the world, or create a landmark building for yourself. Once we have constructed these, we will share them and create a Google Earth layer so people can see the 3D building and where it is located.
Your advanced revision challenge is to create a layer of placemarks in Google Earth.
The placemarks should locate where 5 urban processes can be seen operating in either Auckland or Singapore. Once you have created your placemarks, organise them into a ‘My Places’ folder in Google Earth and then right-click save and email them to me pcranston@katikaticollege.school.nz . I will then load them up on to this post so others can see.
In pairs develop an answer to the following question:
Choose TWO different countries in Monsoon Asia, explain how and why their populations are changing, and outline the issues related to these changes.
Submit you answer as a comment to this post so that it can be marked. Having a range of marked essays for you to view will be of great help for your revision.
Some things to include:
A country with a aged dependency and a country with youthful dependency.
