I have to admit I am biased. In another life I worked for the multinational Philips for many years. I’ve always been amazed at what they come up with, and thought the Year 9s might enjoy this clip which relates to their current study of light and electricity.

March Monitoring Month

Well done 9MKE and 9SEC. I posted off all your river monitoring work, (river assessment reports, artworks, haikus, invertebrate Powerpoints and games), to the Royal Society of New Zealand for the March Monitoring Month Competition. They were blown away with “the huge body of work the students have done” and “the very high standard”.

In their next newsletter (I will show you a copy) there will be a section on March Monitoring Month along with the results of the competition. The Royal Society would like to profile the work you have done, including a photo or two, and using Lucy, Melanie and Hayley’s artwork in another article for the newsletter.

Well done all of you! Clearly you have made a huge impression and I am proud of you. I wonder if you’ve won anything and what it might be. Will keep you posted. In the meantime would you please spread the news amongst yourselves and enjoy your well-earned holiday.
